It was a misty start to the day, but the sun soon started to shine for the hundreds of scooters that met at the Staffordshire Regiment Museum in Whittington to ride on mass to the National Memorial Arboretum, Tamworth. The Army of scooters, led by Paul Marshall (WSA Chairman) took a scenic route marshalled with precision to the NMA, and what a tremendous sight to behold.
Monies raised from the sale of patches, leg shields and collection buckets will be given to the National Memorial Arboretum, The Staffordshire Regiment Museum and Galanos House.
Paul Marshall, who is the chairman of The Warwickshire Scooter Alliance would like to say a massive thank you to the NMA, The Staffordshire Regiment Museum, the WSA committee, the marshalls… you know who you are, and of course everyone that attended and made it such a huge success.

We often don’t like to think about our own mortality, but there comes a time in your life when you start going to as many funerals as weddings. And we probably all know somebody in the scootering scene who has passed on, usually far too early.
Although obviously sad affairs, the best funerals can be wonderful too, especially when you celebrate a life, and the passions of the deceased. What better way for someone that loved their scoots to make the final journey in a Lambretta powered hearse?

The distance covered was approximately 700 miles or 1200 km’s, over a ‘leisurely’ 9 days… an epic trip, with awesome scenery, great mates and memories that will last forever. The pictures and video will give you some idea of what they experienced.
