Vendetta Vids from Eicma

If you like your pictures a little more move-y, here’s a couple of short movies. I think the scoot in the Casa Performance Race Livery looks fantastic. If any of the models on the stand is going to win over a few of the sceptics, it’s that ‘un.

Smoke & Mirrors

Filmed over the August Bank Holiday in Brighton, England. Scooters decend on the iconic seafront, to pose, meet and reconnect. They dress sharp, ride some of the world’s best scooters and are committed to the scene. Two-stroke films were there, this is what they saw… Because they filmed it – rather well – you can see it too.

Being launches on Kickstarter

Being, the short film project I wrote about a while back has launched on Kickstarter.

af6b9ef50edcfb0eeb050b43b5c8df4c_originalFeaturing a young carer (Buddy) inspired by 60’s music and the film Quadrophenia. Buddy meets an out of work actor, Doley who was in Quadrophenia  (played by Mark Wingett) an they become friends. From original cast members and the Brighton location, right down to the replicas of the scooters and clothing, Being has strong cultural references to the original Quadrophenia movie.Caring

Being will be shot in London and Brighton in late summer 2016. It’s a gentle observational drama, about a young boy who is bullied for being different.bdfdd3b599ed7b3c0187cb964da6abc3_original

Check it out on Kickstarter, here, watch the project movie, and if you feel like getting involved, become a backer. This project will only be funded if at least £20,000 is pledged by Sat, Apr 16. At the moment, they are off to a good start. If you want to see this happen, pledges start at just £2.

Mucking about on Lambretta Choppers

These guys are old enough to know better, but young enough to do it anyway. I’ve never been a particular fan of the chopped Lammy, but this looks like fun!

I’m guessing they are part of this mob: Lambretta Choppers Owners Club (great pics on their website).

New Zealand Scooter Mille Miglia 2014

A long overdue post for this epic event… (and I mean properly epic as my nine year old son uses it – applied to just about everything). Four days covering 1000 miles across New Zealand, on scooters. And scooters means proper scooters. Classic geared scooters, as it should. Preparations for this years ride on the 23rd – 26th April are well underway check out the website at www.motoretta.co.nz (The event is now rebranded Mottoretta NZ Motto GP due to legal reasons).MOTOTT2015coglogoarrows3The website is very smart – I love the new branding. Check out the team names, that’ll give you a flavour of the event. if you want to take part… sorry… you’re too late, it was all booked up by September. Maybe get a team together and stick it in the diary for 2016? It’s something I’d love to do one year, but couldn’t have sone it this year anyway as I’ll be in Italy for something rather special and scooter related… watch this space!

Thanks Thornton for the heads up on this.

Lambretta Vlog Time…

T’internet’s a funny old thing isn’t it? Always something new to discover. I just stumbled across “Lambretta Vlog Time” a Video Blog about a guy and his Lambrettas. And it was episode 16. Which means I’ve missed the first 15 somehow. Oh well… some catching up to do! One of my less tiresome jobs to do this week! I probably won’t repost all 15 on here… but I will post the best, and hopefully give you a heads up when a new one pops up!

This one focuses on a nicely restored GP which is nearly finished, and looks like will be up for sale soon. Check out the rest of the vids for yourself on digger9million’s YouTube Channel, here.
