After the rainfall…

Nice little vid, posted by Sticky Features Website… After the Rainfall… “Driving beats, keyboard abuse and intense guitar. The Little Notes deliver British Indie with hints of The Charlatans at their best…from album So High Down available here

I think it’s rather good (the music AND the vid) 🙂

Mucking about on Lambretta Choppers

These guys are old enough to know better, but young enough to do it anyway. I’ve never been a particular fan of the chopped Lammy, but this looks like fun!

I’m guessing they are part of this mob: Lambretta Choppers Owners Club (great pics on their website).

New Zealand Scooter Mille Miglia 2014

A long overdue post for this epic event… (and I mean properly epic as my nine year old son uses it – applied to just about everything). Four days covering 1000 miles across New Zealand, on scooters. And scooters means proper scooters. Classic geared scooters, as it should. Preparations for this years ride on the 23rd – 26th April are well underway check out the website at www.motoretta.co.nz (The event is now rebranded Mottoretta NZ Motto GP due to legal reasons).MOTOTT2015coglogoarrows3The website is very smart – I love the new branding. Check out the team names, that’ll give you a flavour of the event. if you want to take part… sorry… you’re too late, it was all booked up by September. Maybe get a team together and stick it in the diary for 2016? It’s something I’d love to do one year, but couldn’t have sone it this year anyway as I’ll be in Italy for something rather special and scooter related… watch this space!

Thanks Thornton for the heads up on this.

Lambretta Vlog Time…

T’internet’s a funny old thing isn’t it? Always something new to discover. I just stumbled across “Lambretta Vlog Time” a Video Blog about a guy and his Lambrettas. And it was episode 16. Which means I’ve missed the first 15 somehow. Oh well… some catching up to do! One of my less tiresome jobs to do this week! I probably won’t repost all 15 on here… but I will post the best, and hopefully give you a heads up when a new one pops up!

This one focuses on a nicely restored GP which is nearly finished, and looks like will be up for sale soon. Check out the rest of the vids for yourself on digger9million’s YouTube Channel, here.

The names Bug. Bond Bug.

Bond Bug Front 3/4I came across this absolutely stunning, fully restored 1972 Bond Bug on eBay Here. I’ve written about these iconic little vehicles before… (follow the link in the Quasar post!). In the seventies they looked straight from the future …and they still look like they are from some “Space 1999” alternative future (I know that 1999 is in the past, but you get my point!). I showed this post to my nine year old son and he said “Cool! Why don’t they make cars like that today?” Good question!

I honestly don’t think I’ve stumbled across anything on eBay that I’ve immediately wanted so much… Lambrettas included! A snip at a quid under £13k. I’m buying a lottery ticket on the off chance.Bond Bug Three-wheeler BondBug-2 BondBug-3 BondBug-4 Bond Bug InteriorHere’s the eBay link again.

EuroLambretta 2015 Ebensee Promotional Video

So, with EuroLambretta 2014 in Davos done and dusted, and by all reports, (more to come on this!) a good time had by all, I thought it would be a good chance to repost the EuroLambretta 2015 official video I posted back in April. Here’s the version with English Subtitles.
