Semaphore indicator accessory…

Semaphore_Indicators
Not seen these before (although there seem to be a few listed on the Italian eBay site) Pop-up or ‘semaphore’ indicators for a Lambretta (or a classic scooter anyway). They remind me of the ones I used to have on my old split-screen Moggy Minor. I think they’d look good on a restored older open frame model (A-F), or an LC or LD.

You’d need deep pocket though – they’re priced at €2,000!

On the Italian eBay site, here.

1965 Milan to Taranto – The toughest scooter trial in the world?

Milan-Taranto PicPete Davis of the  British Lambretta Archive sent me this fantastic  pic of a couple of LCGB riders in the 1965 Milan to Taranto a 1,000 mile regularity trial, a event organised by the Lambretta Club d’Italia.

A little digging led me to discover this great video on YouTube…

…and a fantastic article on the ever excellent Team S Equipe blog, here.

Fantastic Lambretta Video

Nothing in the way of a commentary  just some marvellous vintage footage, (some of it I’ve never seen before) of the world’s finest motor scooter. It looks like it has been nicked from the History channel. The music’s pretty good too…so  just sit back and enjoy. Ends with the text “Lambretta …the other side of the Italian miracle”
