To mark the recent Burn’s Night celebrations, I thought I’d post this terrific tartan bedecked Series 1, that’s for sale over on eBay. The eBay description is as follows:
“1959 Series 1 Lambretta in outstanding condition.
Rare crossover model which for even more interesting pedigree, Framebreather frame loop on a non-breather frame, as confirmed by several sources to be fully authentic Framebreather end production run crossover.
She has a small block 200 top end and rides amazingly, plenty of get up and go and handles like a dream.
12v electronics for reliability and quality engine internals.
Comes with Feridax flyscreen, Tartan accessories, period stars and accessories,
Original Trombone rack
New BGM tyres & tubes make for perfect all round handling and ride.”
Personally, it’s the decals that make this scooter – I don’t know if it’s actually been to Pisa, Rome, Amsterdam, Innsbruck and the other one that I can’t work out – but I wouldn’t be surprised!
One eBay here.

Spotted this rarity on eBay – a Genuine 1954 Indian Papoose Brockhouse Corgi. Now, I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know anything about these scoots… but there’s a little bit of history below…
First up is a 40 BHP, 230 GP, finished in bright green and black, and ‘no expense spared’ on creating ‘the best street racer available’ (the quotes are just to highlight these are the seller’s words, not mine, and in no way to cast any doubt on them). All work was carried out by JB Tuning; spec includes a Casacase 66mm crank, RB250 cylinder, Wossner piston, Mammoth head, Casacase ignition, Cyclone 5 speed gearbox, 39mm Delortto carb, Casa power clutch, Casa side casing, Pioe design exhaust, Casa disc brake, BGM suspension and a Sip speedo – all producing 40bhp/23 torque.
The second one is a Malbroro themed racer, with the engine upgraded to Mugello 225 and dyno’d by Daryl of Taylor Tuning. It’s a “Smooth running Scooter that is perfect for touring”. It has been in Scootering Magazine many times.
First off is this BM Pokerino from 1963. BM, or Bonvicini Marini were an Italian motorcycle manufacturer founded in Bologna in 1952. An ‘ace’ looking little scooter, but, I must say my favourite part about is the poker hand badge – so if you’re feeling ‘flush’ (see what I did there) you can get hold of the Pokerino for

If you get that scooter, you’ll probably want to grab this book too…
Pub prices too expensive? Bar too far to stumble to? The Lambretta Cambretta Trailer is a “must for every scooter rally, man cave, enthusiast etc”
