I don’t feature many cutdowns on here… it’s not that I don’t like them… but my personal taste is towards a scooter that messes with the original designers vision as little as possible, or enhances it in subtle ways. But when a cutdown is done properly they can look the business… like this one that’s up for sale on eBay.

Series 2 & Bambini
Great looking scooter sidecar combination over at eBay… it’s got a classified ad price of £7,500.document.Check it out on eBay here
Orignal paint framebreather on eBay
Love the original factory paint with period stickers on this ’59 Framebreather.
It comes with a TS1 225 engine, and some minor jobs to get it finished, but to my eye it’s a cracking looking scoot.
The original engine comes as part of the deal, so if you want to take it back to standard, you can.

Scooter Caravan Up for Sale
You might remember the homemade scooter caravan I posted about last year; if not you can read the original post here. Well, it’s up for grabs on eBay. You really could do the next scooter rally in comfort and style!
It’s got a “Buy It Now” price of £2,700, which seems exceptional value for money when you think of all the hours and effort that went in to build it. Here's the ebay link.
The Real McKoi
This scooter for sale on eBay is the absolute business. Usually, I can take or leave custom paint… but this is gorgeous… and I just ‘get” the whole concept of this scooter. The Real McCoy means “the genuine article” and this scooter is certainly that. No expense has been spared in the build, with owner going “straight to the top’ and getting all the work being done by some of the best in the business… The paint is by Ty Layer ( Pageant Paiintwork ), Engraving by Adi Clark, Seat by Corky, 250cc Twin Targa Engine build by Stuart from the 100 MPH Lambretta Club, Hydraulic Clutch by Chris Sadd.
It all adds up to one stunning scooter. And it could be yours. Check it out on eBay here
Lambretta Service Man on eBay
These little beauties come up occasionally on eBay, and I always think they’s make the perfect gift for any Lambretta enthusiast. They were originally a promotional items for Lambretta clothing stores. I think it’s a real headturner… and in fact the head does turn from left to right. This one started at £20, and it’s already up to over £100, with 9 days to go. Here’s the ebay link.
2 Best Oddities… Skullduggery & Egyptian Swan
Cards on the table… I’ve said it before, and I’ll probably say it again. I’m not really into choppers. So I’ve ummed and ahhed about putting these two scoots in. They’ve been on eBay for a while, and the owner isn’t really bothered about selling them, unless he gets the right price. (£10k each) When you read the story that goes with them, you’ll understand why, and understand why I’ve written this post. Because, although I may not be into chops, I am into Lambrettas, a good story, passion, commitment and vision. And that is what it took Nipper to build ’em.

If they tickle your fancy, or float your boat, you can buy Skullduggery on eBay here or Egyptian Swan here
I won’t insult your intelligence by telling you which one’s which 🙂

Even if, like me, you don’t quite “get” the chopper thing, pop over to eBay and read Nippers story. You can’t help but admire the fella!
A couple of Innocenti Mini’s…
After yesterdays post featuring a couple of J125 Starstreams, I thought I’d post another couple of Innocenti vehicles again, this time of the four wheeled variety! As Mini afficionados will know, The Innocenti Mini Cooper is the Italian version of the Cooper S, arguably built to a higher standard! I found these two very nice examples for sale, if they tickle your fancy, you know what to do!
The first one is Immaculate Innocenti Cooper Export 1300. Subject to a full, nut and bolt restoration and bare metal respray completed in 2011. Very original car, rebuilt to virtually original specification (twin tank added). Rare original colour scheme, Sabbia Beige / Nero. A regular at the Mini car shows across the country, and featured in Classic and Sports Car Magazine in October 2011… more info over on eBay.
The second car is a 1974 1300 Export – Professionally restored About 8 years ago. As Described as being in “Stunning condition and very original specification”, again, there’s more info over on eBay
A couple of Starstreams…

I’ve posted about the previously unloved J-Range Lambrettas that seem to be going under a bit of a resurgence recently. Remember that rather lovely original condition signwritten J50 I posted a week or so ago? If you missed it, it’s here.
Well, the main problem with the J’s is speed. They’re just not very fast. And the J50 is clearly going to be the slowest of the lot. Now, you may say, if I wanted to go fast I wouldn’t get a Lambretta (tell that to the TS1 owners!), and there’s an element of truth in that, but in modern traffic, it’s just not safe too go too slow. The most rideable, and always the most desirable of the J’s was the 125cc “Starstream” version… you won’t exactly be braking the land speed record on one, but they are nippy enough to poodle around on.
I spotted a couple of rather nice examples for sale, a rather nice, well preserved blue one, with the original green log-book, available on On eBay here
The other is this rust free example, and Indonesian import, looks like it’s in ok nick, also on eBay, with a classified price of £2,000, and the “make offer” option available. On eBay here
Another lovely TV175, Series 2 – only 6,000 original miles
Used for two years from new, and then stored… this TV175 has only had one previous owner. It a cracking looking scoot… not fully loaded with accessories like the one I posted the other day, but showing off the original Lambretta lines to the fullest. To be honest, I’d ditch the rear crash bars, I don’t think they add anything, but each to their own. It’s a classified ad, and they want £7,500 for it.
On eBay, here.
